'Back to the Land’ for New Glamping Design & Build Consultancy
Inspired by childhood dens, world travels and a Victorian British designer, new glamping development company, Morel & Co, will launch at the Glamping Show in September, and exhibit at the Farm Innovation Show at the NEC, and several Be My Guest roadshows, including Torquay, over the coming months.
The company’s team give traditional skills a modern twist to create individually designed glamping and eco structures within sensitive, interactive landscaping. Founded by leading glamping business consultant Kate Morel, they offer either a turn-key or selective design and consultancy services for land and business owners who want to successfully diversify into glamping.
Kate says: “I’m immensely fortunate to know so many experienced, gifted people, and even more so to be working with them. We’re all excited about our new venture and creating new businesses through imaginative designs and developments."
Inspiration for the unique nature of Morel & Co’s collaborative structure came from William Morris, a founder of the 18th Century Arts and Crafts movement and of ‘Morris & Co’ in 1875. His independent company produced beautiful items through a collection of traditional skilled craftsmen, at a time when mass production was taking hold in the UK.
Kate continued: “Our collective industry knowledge and bespoke structure ability gives us unrivalled experience and flexibility when creating a project. We can put forward ideas and designs that suit the brief, rather than making the brief suit us."
Morel & Co will fulfil an increasing demand from land and business owners for bespoke accommodation structures and landscaped developments. As glamping, outdoor leisure activities, and appreciation for natural spaces increases, “Back to the Land” felt like a most appropriate phrase for the launch of this innovative venture.
